the phpMyAdmin developers are pleased to announce the availability
of phpMyAdmin 2.2.0.

phpMyAdmin is intended to handle the administration of MySQL over
the Web. The project was started by Tobias Ratschiller in 1998,
and is now one of the most popular PHP script used worldwide.

LinuxDevices.com has a press release: Mizi Research
has a contract to supply its Embedded Linux operating
system, Linuette, to CIIT for use as the operating system
within a newly developed multimedia PDA.

CNet reports that version 6.0 of StarOffice will break up the suite into individual programs that can run separate from each other. That should make the package less sluggish than the 5.2 release.

Reuters has an interview with Russian programmer Dmitry Sklyarov, who’s accused of violating the U.S. DMCA. Sklyarov says he’s not scared and he’s not worrying about things he can’t change. He’s confident justice will prevail.
