Hynix and cut chip production.

So says at least one analyst watching the sector, according to a Korea Herald
report. Merritz Securities’ Choi Suck-po (we kid you not) reckons that rumours of
production cuts are false.”

Open Source fans try to outflank .Net

open-source advocates are working to make sure .Net isn’t a Microsoft-only technology

Ximian, a Boston company that works on the Gnome user interface for Linux, is scheduled to
announce Monday a software project called “Mono” intended to compete against Microsoft.Net,
according to sources familiar with the plan.”

Court put its network at risk

employees during a recent period was to download movies, music and
pornography, according to an internal memo and sources.

That amounted to a “gross misuse of government resources,” a
high-ranking court official wrote in a memo.

But when warned about that, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court’s judicial
council in San Francisco had a surprising response: It shut off the
system that had detected the improper downloading.”

Employee message boards getting scarier

that go beyond the scathing critique, she said. The harassment ranges
from disclosing company trade secrets to revealing privileged
information to out-and-out cyberstalking of employers and employees,
according to Aftab.

Typically, the perpetrators are current or past employees who have
been involved in a dispute, gotten passed over for a raise or promotion,
or have received a bad evaluation, she said. Occasionally, it’s someone
