Mozilla 1.0 set back to Q4 2001

Someone from MozillaQuest Magazine writes about this story: Mozilla 1.0 Set Back to Q4 2001. “For the third time in as many months, the Lizard wranglers have pushed back the anticipated Mozilla release date in their Mozilla tree management diagram. The newest Mozilla tree management diagram shows Mozilla 1.0 release now is set for early Q4 — 15 October 2001. Please see Figure 1 and Table 1, below.”

Lineo upgrades availix clustering kit

According to LinuxGram, Lineo has shipped a point upgrade to its Availix clustering kit for up to seven-node Linux clusters. The latest release, Availix HC 1.3, supports high-speed Fibre Channel switching, SAN content sharing and SNMP administration and maintenance remotely.

IBM Offers Free Mainframe Access to Linux Develope

IBM is offering Linux developers temporary access to zSeries eServer mainframes to allow them to use hardware and port software to that hardware that would otherwise be out of reach, according to this press release at LinuxPR.com.

IOGEAR and Linux unite to make USB 2.0 a universal standard

Linux PR has a press release from IOGEAR. From the release: “IOGEAR is working with the Linux USB project to deliver the necessary 2.0 driver that will offer users higher performance peripherals and reduction in bandwidth bottlenecks. The Linux USB team is focused on building open-source USB support for the Linux 2.2 and 2.4 systems.”

Microsoft ends its piracy snitch program
