meant for: Those interested in the development of GLib or GTK+; and people planning to port to the upcoming GTK+-2.0 version of GTK+. Note: this is a tentative API-freeze release, major API changes beyond the remaining open ‘2.0 API freeze’ bugs in bugzilla are unlikely to occur before GLib-2.0 is released.”

Big blue meets expectations

The Standard reports: “In the midst of poor financial results for
many tech companies, IBM met Wall
Street’s expectations Wednesday,
reporting first-quarter earnings per share
of 98 cents and predicting that it would
meet expectations for the full year as well.

Big Blue’s earnings per share were up 18
percent from last year’s 83 cents per
share, while first-quarter net income of
$1.75 billion was up 15 percent and
revenues of $21 billion were up 14 percent
compared to last year.”
