The CBC reports that Rogers @Home cable in Ontario was down through most of the province Thursday night thanks to copper thieves who cut a fibre-optic cable while trying to steal wires.

ZDNet reports on the introduction of a new digital Internet/TV system which runs on Linux, and is HDTV-ready as well as supporting television and cable television signals.

Handheld sites are buzzing with rumors that PDA maker Handspring will announce a new version of its Visor device on Monday. Supposedly, the new gadget will be known as the “Visor Edge” to highlight its slim appearance. Full story at Wired News.

When you install OS X on March 24, Apple wants you to focus on what you will eventually have, not what you’ve actually purchased on that day. Think of the possibility of playing DVDs on your Mac in the future, not the icky reality that OS X won’t, initially, support this feature. Story at ZDNet.
