LinuxPR: “The University of Alberta and IBM
Canada Ltd. today announced a program to help ensure Canadian
computing science graduates have the skills they need to work with
Linux — the world’s fastest-growing operating system. As part of this
relationship, IBM is providing U of A with an enterprise-class Linux
infrastructure that will be used to deliver enterprise-wide applications,
to provide a Linux education to students in the U of A’s Department of
Computing Science, and to allow faculty to lead research projects. IBM
will use knowledge gained from this installation to accelerate the
acceptance of Linux in Canadian enterprises.”
