Zenoss Announces Free Network Monitoring Training at Premier SoCAL Open Source Conference

Zenoss Community Day will provide free network monitoring training during the Southern California Linux Conference (SCALE 8x) on Friday, February 19th at the Westin LAX. Attendees will learn how to manage their complete physical and virtual infrastructure

 

AUSTIN, TX, FEBRUARY 15, 2010 – Zenoss Inc., corporate sponsor of the award winning open source network monitoring project Zenoss Core, will host Zenoss Community Day on February 19th. The day long event is being held during the 2010 Southern California Linux Expo (SCALE 8x), where Zenoss will be conducting live demos of Zenoss software in Booth #22.

 

Zenoss Community Day will take place from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Westin Los Angeles Airport. The event is free to attend and features instructor-led training on best practices for using Zenoss Core, to monitor both physical and virtual IT infrastructure. In addition to the training, there will be ample time for community discussion and networking.

 

Previously Community Day events have been held in Baltimore, MD, Columbus, OH and where hundreds of IT professionals have been trained on the use of Zenoss Core. Video archives of past network management training sessions have been archived for those users who weren’t or aren’t able to attend.

 

After the training there will be an optional demonstration and discussion with noted cloud and systems management expert and co-host of the Systems Management Podcast, John M. Willis, on how to automate configuration of servers using the open source Chef project.
