According to the Eclipse Foundation, the Developers on Linux as increased. Eclipse make a survey on Europe to they users about the Os preference, development tools, frameworks and applications.
The results show that 1 of 3 eclipse users use Linux, and 2 of 3 use Windows. For Mac, it’s almost null the use of eclipse on this platform. A very interesting aspect is about the DB, which is MySql and Oracle. While the Mysql users prefer PHP has the main language, the Oracle developers choose Java.
According to this results, the Linux community grow a lot, the use of Open Source frameworks, applications and everything and the important thing is, the use of Open Source tools on a Open Source OS.
