Univention Corporate Server is a reliable, pre-configured Linux server operating system. The complete source code of Univention Corporate Server is provided under an Open Source licence. The software is tried-and-tested and regularly updated. For private users, UCS is free of charge with infinite use for up to 5 users and support is provided via the Univention forum. Commercial users can obtain UCS at reasonable prices and have guaranteed, individually adjustable support.
UCS also features user, group and rights administration, an integrated IP management (DNS, WINS, DHCP), file and printer services. The included tool AD Takeover allows the migration of a Microsoft Active Directory to UCS via Samba 4 and the tool AD Connection allows the integration of a UCS domain in an AD domain to operate both systems in parallel. The Univention App Center provides further UCS components, such as Univention Corporate Client (UCC), a centrally managed client operating system. IT also provides numerous Open Source products from third-party manufacturers, such as the groupware solutions Zarafa.
