Arizonans may claim more than $100 million from Microsoft

PHOENIX — Arizonans will divide up more than $100 million from computer software giant Microsoft to settle a case accusing it of overpricing its products.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Michael O’Melia gave preliminary approval Monday to the class action settlement between plaintiffs and Microsoft. The deal is the third largest of its kind in the country.

Anyone who bought a Microsoft operating system or application software is eligible to get a voucher for from $9 to $15 for each product. Those vouchers can be used to purchase new software and even computers from any manufacturer.
