Mozilla Releases SeaMonkey 2.0 Beta 2

Mozilla has announced the release of version 2.0 beta 2 of their SeaMonkey “all-in-one internet application suite”, completing the planned feature set. The successor to the old Netscape Communicator and Mozilla Application suites includes a web browser with advanced email and newsgroup support, an IRC chat client and HTML editing support. The SeaMonkey 2.0 Beta 2 development release is based on the same browser core as Firefox 3.5.3 and includes several new features.

The beta 2 release now features the ability to open individual messages, folders and accounts in tabs inside the Mail & Newsgroups window. In addition to a large number of small changes in the preview release, users can now re-open closed browser windows using the “Undo Close Window” option and several improvements have been made to the recently rewritten download manager…
