Uh-oh writes, “Linux and Main reports that the SSSCA, now CBDTPA, calls for the things covered in a patent granted to Microsoft last December. While the bill doesn’t specify Microsoft’s method (which would also make it impossible to run software not licensed by Microsoft), it does call for adoption of whatever the industry standard is, and we all know how well Microsoft imposes standards. Scary.”
