Red Hat names CEO Matthew Szulik chairman of the board

From a press release at RedHat.com: Red Hat, Inc. (Nasdaq: RHAT), the world's premier open source and Linux provider, today announced that CEO Matthew Szulik has been named to the additional post of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Red Hat, Inc. Szulik joined Red Hat as President in November of 1998 and was promoted to CEO in November of 1999. He has been instrumental in the success of Red Hat and the unprecedented growth in the adoption of open source computing.

Red Hat also announced that well-known education leader Marye Anne Fox, Ph.D., has joined the Board of Directors. More from News.com, including the information that Bob Young will remain on the board.
