Speeding Up Linux: One Step Further With Pardus
Gorkem Cetin writes "We have developed a fast and effective init system, called Mudur, written in Python for the upcoming Pardus Linux 1.1 distribution. Mudur is written with simplicity, speed and maintainability in mind. It isn't just a replacement for the /sbin/init command like some other alternatives, nor just a parallel script executor. Mudur greatly simplified our boot process, making it faster and more flexible. We're looking forward to see developer's comments and opinions to make Mudur rock solid."
